What's new?

Here is the latest news from Mountain Jubilee Chorus:

Ignite the Sound! Christmas Chorus Invitation

Do you love to sing? Come join Mountain Jubilee Chorus in learning wonderful holiday music in four-part a cappella harmony!

We will be rehearsing from 7 to 8 pm for six weeks, starting on October 11, to prepare a program of fun holiday songs.  We will have several opportunities to perform in the community, including at the Festival of Trees.

No experience is necessary!  You do not need to read music, just be able to "carry a tune" and hold your own part in the group.  Sheet music and learning tracks (recordings of each part) will be provided.

We welcome teens and up - all ages and abilities.  Haven't sung since your high school choir days?  This is your chance to get those vocal cords back in shape!  Need a bigger challenge than singing in the shower?  You will learn new vocal skills and keep those brain cells working!  And you will have a very fun and welcoming group of women to hang out with on Tuesday nights.

New Name Coming!

Mountain Jubilee Chorus will soon be known as:

           "WASATCH A CAPPELLA"

As we have come through the COVID pandemic under new directors and leaders, we have been refining our vision and setting long-term goals.  As part of this process, the chorus decided to choose a new name to better represent our current membership and philosophy.  We accepted suggestions from chorus members, then voted on our favorites.  "Wasatch A Cappella" was preferred by over 93 percent of those who voted.

We love the legacy of "Mountain Jubilee Chorus" and appreciate some 50 years of history under that title.  We now look forward to building on that legacy with a new style and character!

NOTE:  The name change will take some time, including approval by Sweet Adelines International.  We hope to have everything in place by the start of 2023.
